Turn Again Arm

Turn Again Arm just south of Anchorage is the second dead end that Capt. James Cook found on his search for the Northwest Passage.  He had explored another route prior to this one and when he came to the end of this venture he exclaimed to he crew that they would have to Turn Again.  Thus the name.  It is also the sight of the worlds most dramatic Bore Tide.  The water level here rises and falls with the tide 26 feet twice a day.  Watching the water rush in following a low tide is an amazing sight to see.   Not only that, but I really like the sky.  Don’t tell Adam.
